Posted on by in Blog

There have been a couple of unique WordPress plugins released over the last few days, and we thought we’d give our readers here at a rundown of how they work. On Tuesday, October 30th, Perishable Press released the Simple Blog Stats plugin, which gives webmasters an ample amount of shortcodes to utilize in order to display a number of vital statistics withing a post or page.

The available stats for SBS include the number of comments, categories, users, tags, and posts; plus the plugin shows recent comments on posts and pages. If you need extra functionality, you can also program SBS to give you the number of registered users, moderated comments, approved comments, and total amount of drafts.

SBS Installation And Extra Features

The SBS plugin installation process is extremely simple and should require only a few moments. Simply go to the Perishable Press link provided to Download Simple Blog Stats, then upload to your WordPress site and activate in order to enjoy the plugin benefits. The SBS Settings tab within the wp-admin dashboard area can serve as a one-stop Control Panel for viewing shortcodes and template tags, but there is no real “configuration” to deal with, although you may want to make alterations to some of the extra SBS functions at some point.

Just tested this plugin, it is simple in effect but all nicely functional very easy to deploy and can add any widget functionality. I would like to we an option for multiple tabs as this would really make it a winner. However; it is already a winner, it WORKS and works well, looks nice too.”

There is no need to change any settings in the wp-config.php file. Yes, you install the plugin into your site, then you install it in an empty instance of WordPress at the new location, then click generate on the original site, then download the file, then upload the file into the new empty install at the new location.
