Premium template company Obox Design has added its latest WordPress theme, Personal, to its official catalog. This new download is built with writers and bloggers in mind, and focuses on a minimalistic style while boasting an enhanced 940x-wide view port for Hi Definition video uploads.
Personal has an extremely clean layout but retains its functionality through optional homepage regions plus drag-and-drop widget insertion from the back-end Control Panel. Its Custom Page Templates include layouts for Archives, Full Width, Blog Feed and Portfolio (one column, two columns or three columns).
Clean Homepage Design For Bloggers
The main purpose of the Personal WordPress theme is to give bloggers an opportunity to showcase their skills with text and multimedia content. Instead of relying solely on one’s writing, Personal makes it easy to showcase high quality video and photographic content, beginning with its large video view port that is 940x pixels in width. The title, text excerpt, author name, number of comments, and publication date are displayed within the main feed, and the front-end reader will only need to click once on the title to go through to the full post.
The top navigation area is characteristic of what one would expect from most Content Management System grid designs, with drop down menus available for sub pages.
Responsive WordPress Theme
Personal by Obox Design is responsive and will automatically adjust the parameters of your website’s content to fit the screen size of mobile devices such as the iPhone and Android. Tablet computers can also enjoy a customized experience without the webmaster ever having to touch any actual code.
There are also three options for Portfolio pages if you are interested in relaying your latest work to visitors. You can choose from one, two or three columns and have your fans click directly on the thumbnail to see the image in its full size (no LightBox effects are used).
Drag-And-Drop Widget Placement
This template comes with plenty of custom widgets that can be easily inserted within the sidebar and footer regions through direct access of the Control Panel. Granting one-click access to your social media accounts, recent posts/comments, archives, search functions, About page, and more is a painless task that takes only seconds to configure; even if you have never programmed a website before.
The Blog Feed option can also be enabled if you wish to publish a separate page for your site’s blog entries. The layout will be slightly different than the Main Feed, with only the post’s title, author, text excerpt, image/video and publication appearing on the left-hand side while the sidebar is situated on the right.
The Personal theme by Obox comees with its own pricing system that begins at $60 for a Single Pack and $120 for a Developer’s License that offers layered PSD Files along with the Obox Mobile plugin (necessary for obtaining a responsive, pre-designed template). The single plan allows customers to choose one extra Obox template at no cost while those purchasing the Developer’s package can get two extra themes. Both subscription options include theme updates, support forum access, editable CSS files and the Theme Settings Control Panel.
There is an All Access Membership option for WordPress users who would like to get all of Obox’s themes and plugins. For a $140 sign-up fee along with a $15 recurring monthly subscription, the entire theme library is opened up with the ability to download each of the firm’s plugins as well.
Personal is a feature rich theme that can work well for many bloggers who wish to add photographic and video material to their entries. If you would like to find out more about this product, visit the Personal Theme page and Personal Demo page.
