Indie Fest is the third design to be released by the band design specialists Fox Hound Band Themes. Indie Fest has a colourful background and large logo area that is sure to grab the attention of visitors.
With 8 different background images, 17 main colours and 15 accent colours, Indie Fest will help you create a design that suits you and your band. GigPress is used for displaying tour dates, a SoundCloud player lets visitors hear your songs and you can upload your MP3s too.
The comment area blends in perfectly with the rest of the design with gravatars in replies aligned to the right hand side rather than the left.
The demo of Indie Fest shows a simple band page with a group image divided into the three band members.
Each image links to a dedicated page for that band member so that fans can learn more about them.
Powered by lightbox, the gallery template is a great way for displaying band photos. Once the full size image pops up, the visitor can scroll through all images.
A YouTube widget is included to help you display videos in your sidebar. Alternatively, you could create a dedicated video page and display your bands latest videos.
There is no eCommerce functionality built into the theme though you could easily sell products directly by installing a WordPress eCommerce plugin. Alternatively, you can simply link to a service such as iTunes where visitors can purchase your music.
Using the WordPress plugin GigPress you can display a listing of your upcoming performances on a dedicated page.
Indie Fest is a fantastic design that is sure to prove popular with musicians. A license will cost you $99 and comes with the original Photoshop PSD file (124mb). Foxhound also offer a branding service if you want a more unique look for your website.
