Elegant Themes Adds Font Options To Select Downloads

Posted on by in Blog

Elegant Themes, the company known for its wide selection of more than 80 premium WordPress themes, has updated some of its downloads to include Font Options. ET founder Nick Roach published a blog post on May 2nd outlining which themes were initially upgraded with the new options. “We are excited to announce that we have added new font options to some of our most popular themes,” stated Roach. “Within the WordPress Theme Customizer, you can now pick between dozens of fonts to apply to different parts of your theme! To access the theme customer, click the ‘Customize’ link next to your active theme in the Appearances > Themes section of your WordPress Dashboard. Powered by the free Google Fonts library, you now have access to the best web fonts around, and you can pick and choose between different fonts at the click of a button.”

In all, more than a dozen products have been upgraded, including the firm’s latest release called Foxy. Other themes that were targeted for the new font options are Explorable, StyleShop, Fusion, Nimble, Lucid, Origin, DeepFocus, Evolution, eStore, SimplePress, Notebook, Nova, TheStyle, Harmony, InStyle, Envisioned, DailyJournal and LeanBiz. For customers who are currently using one of the themes listed above, all they have to do is update to the newest version in order to enjoy the new font options.

The ability to choose between a number of well established fonts is very important for many who create on a daily basis. Fonts can highlight and draw attention to certain areas of an article while also distinguishing separate sections from one another or designating storytelling, news entries, an informal blog and much more.

In case it’s been a while since you’ve visited Elegant Themes (or if you’re not yet a customer), the company has remained busy releasing new products on a monthly basis. The most recent launch was called Foxy, and focuses on serving as a business theme for WordPress websites by boasting a fully responsive design, plenty of default color schemes, custom page templates, homepage blurbs, built-in SEO, advertisement capabilities, widgetized regions and more. Last month, Roach told his customers, “Foxy is a sleek, all-in-one solution for businesses. The themes finds harmony in a balance of simple and striking design elements. Foxy is fun, but it doesn’t let anything get in the way of its structured and functional layout. For those looking for a solid online solution for their business, Foxy is the theme for you!”

ET’s founder and CEO also changed things up a bit earlier this year when he made the Explorable premium WordPress theme available to those seeking a unique download for travel sites that use WordPress. By pasting an interactive map right on the homepage and letting visitors click on the entries they want to see, Explorable has found a niche within a market that was looking for a product that could provide a very unique layout to those running travel websites and blogs.

Upcoming Themes

The upcoming theme release from the company will be called Fable, and is set to focus on blogging websites by offering custom post formats, several layout options, a responsive design and a full shortcodes collection. Although it has been a while since Elegant Themes has released a download designed exclusively for blogging, this could be a way for the firm to show its support for longform writing and those who publish blog material on a daily basis.
