Congratulations to Our Theme Junkie Giveaway Winners

Posted on by in Blog

For the last two weeks, WPHub has been qualifying visitors for one of three free themes from the good folks at Theme Junkie. In case you missed it, the promotion ran from March 18 to March 30 and the winners are in. Congratulations to @endritstrail, @neulabs, and @marcos_ravelo, each of whom will receive a free theme courtesy of Theme Junkie.

Let’s talk a little bit about the winners. @endritstrail is a “travel blogger/writer [and] part-time traveler, enjoying backpacking, caving, hiking, and beer,” according to his Twitter page. Sounds quite eclectic. @neulabs describes himself as being into “WordPress, social media, blogging, design, [and being a] father and minimalist” according to his Twitter feed. You have a cute kid, by the way. Finally, @marcos_ravelo works in information technology.

Now that you’ve met the winners, you may be wondering what they did that was special enough to earn a free WordPress theme from Theme Junkie. First of all, they needed to follow @WPHub on Twitter. That’ll be good for you to do so you can qualify for any future contests we run. Then, each entrant needed to make the following Tweet: “Thanks to @WPHUB – I just entered the Free Theme Junkie Contest via http://wphub.com/win-theme-junkie-theme.” It was as easy as that.

We drew three winners on March 30 in conjunction with interactwive.com. Anyone could earn extra credit by becoming a friend of WPHub on Facebook, +1’ing us on Google+, and telling us how they would use the theme if they were one of the three winners. Comments for the latter included updating personal blogs and giving several websites a facelift.

WPHub has reviewed a baker’s dozen of themes from Theme Junkie. One that caught this author’s eye was Newspaper, which quite literally is designed for online newspapers. If you regularly publish news, or just want to give your content a more newsworthy feel, then Newspaper may be just what the doctor ordered, according to our review: “This is a great download for any news website that has a need to publish multi-categorized content and organize it accordingly.” The theme runs $49 and features an options panel, sidebar, and footer.

Another handy theme from Theme Junkie is VideoPro, whose center display is ideal for displaying video content. You can embed codes from popular video-oriented websites like YouTube. Our review of Video Pro explains, “Video Pro is great if you have a large amount of video content that you’d like to feature on your website. Embedding codes are provided by the respective video sites, so all the beginning webmaster needs to do is enter the link and then enjoy the published material from the front end.” Sounds simple, right?

Thanks to everyone who entered and congratulations again to our three theme winners. Keep checking back with WPHub for additional giveaways.
