In a poll-type article we published last week here at WPHub.com, we asked our readers to provide us with insight on what their favorite WordPress theme niche category is. While the poll is still open, we thought it would be a good idea to break down some of the categories that were voted on and explain why they’re necessary to a successful website.
Photography Niche Themes
So far, the niche category that is leading the way in our poll is photography WordPress themes. WP users are looking for a variety of ways to showcase their high-quality work, and a template that can handle layouts, hi-res content, and make it all come together in a cohesive manner hold a greater advantage over competing themes within this niche.
Take Expose by StudioPress, for example. This product works off of the Genesis Framework and has all the right tools to bring out the most in your passion; regardless of whether you’re using this template for personal or professional means.
Expose has a total of 6 layout options, a featured images area, and access to detailed tutorials for those who need assistance getting their new premium product set up.
Another nice portfolio-based theme to try out is DeepFocus by Elegant Themes. With its responsive design, this product places a heavy emphasis on professional work and “elegant” design that can help you gain exposure for present and past projects that you’ve managed.
The subtle color palettes that come standard in this premium download give you ample opportunity to get the most out of your efforts, plus the easy to use Control Panel will have you generating ad revenue in no time thanks to the manager interface for advertising, SEO, and more.
Corporate And Business Themes
No matter whether you’re in the market for a business theme that is capable of communicating your corporate image or only in need of a product that can advertise your services to online customers, there is plenty of room for business WordPress themes in most developers’ catalogs.
Especially when it comes to brick & mortar businesses that are looking to gain access to a growing online market, having a theme that can offer blurbs, a featured area, testimonials, and an interactive way for clients to contact and contract services is a must.
Fortunately, there is a wide array of potential suitors when it comes to getting just the right business theme for your website. Many business themes nowadays feature an optional blog page that can be used for relaying company info and/or keeping up with news within your specific industry.
Hands down, it appears that WooThemes has gained a significant advantage in many areas when it comes to e-Commerce WordPress themes. Much of this has to do with its recent move to WooCommerce, which basically turns every premium download into an online storefront that can be used to market and sell everything from apparel to video games.
One of my personal favorites offered by this company is WooStore, mainly due to its clean, attractive layout that gives customers an easy-to-use interface for online purchases. There are plenty of WordPress Extensions available for PayPal integration, and the WooCommerce platform takes the customer from first impression to checkout flawlessly; which ultimately results in more sales for your online retail website.
Participate In Our Latest Poll
On Monday, we published another poll-style article for our readers, asking which area of your website could be improved. This is a great method for identifying sections and parameters that could be enhanced, and you can vote here to ensure your opinion is counted. We will publish a follow-up article on our latest questionnaire next week.
