Now that we are officially in the month of May, premium theme company Web Savvy Marketing has released its latest offering in the form of Megan; a custom designed product that is specifically built for social media consultants and freelancers. In a May 1st blog post, the Web Savvy team wrote, “We are happy to announce the release of Megan, one of our newest Genesis child themes. Megan is a premium WordPress theme that overlays on the Genesis Framework. Megan is an ideal solution for social media freelance consultants and/or agencies who need a DIY option for WordPress website design. In reality, virtually any WordPress theme could be made into a social media website. Megan was created to make it easy on the social media consultants and let them focus on the things that really matter to them like sharing great content and helping their clients get their social media grove on. Megan comes with five different color styles, multiple layout options, custom menus, featured images, and an integrated blog. The WordPress theme is mobile responsive so it automatically adapts to devices like iPhones and iPads.”
Megan Theme Appearance
When I first tried out the Megan Theme Demo Page a couple of hours ago, the first thing that struck me was the smooth visual layout that can be enjoyed from top to bottom; beginning with the traditional logo slot in the top left which is accompanied by the navigation bar and social media icons (top right). Below that, visitors will find a featured content slider which can be programmed from the back-end to rotate your slides automatically so that they appear for several seconds before shifting to the next entry. Front-end users who would like to take control of this module can do so via the small circular icons on the left-hand side that are just below each entry’s title and description.
The default design on the homepage provides room for three short blurbs along with a subscribe tool for getting visitors to sign-up to your service or newsletter to receive email updates. You’ll then see a small area designated for giving a brief introductory text about your website along with a portfolio feed with small rectangular thumbnails that can be clicked on (or tapped on in the case of small screen devices) in order to go through to the full post.
By simply reducing the size of your browser’s window when viewing the live demo, you can see how the content adjusts automatically to fit the parameters of whatever device your website is being viewed from. This worry-free method of catering to the smartphone and tablet computer market requires absolutely no code work on the webmaster’s behalf and comes standard with all of Web Savvy’s latest theme releases.
You’ll also notice that Megan makes great use of custom page templates for those who wish to publish an independent blog feed within the social media consulting business platform to give regular updates on industry news or articles from staff writers.
The five color schemes include the default Blue along with Brown, Green & Gold, Purple, and finally Red & Black. All you have to do to change the skin of your website when using the Megan theme is click the corresponding tab within the Genesis Framework and select the color combination of your choice.
The Megan WordPress theme will only work on websites that have already installed the Genesis Framework. Once the framework has been purchased, you can buy Megan for a one-time fee of $49.95. The price includes full support as well as access to the premium download.
