MyThemeShop Releases “Awake” WordPress Theme

in Blog

With the Christmas holiday behind us, the administration at MyThemeShop has released the company’s latest premium WordPress theme – Awake. The new download is a fully responsive product that contains a featured content slider, individualized main feed categories, widgetized regions and plenty of back-end goodies to keep webmasters busy with customization options.

Awake Responsive Theme

In a December 26th blog post, the firm announced the new product launch by stating that the template is “a modern, metro-styled WordPress theme that features a splash of color, a crisp design with a dual column layout and the ability to customize the design, colors, fonts and background. Awake comes with MyThemeShop’s full array of optimizations, such as search engine optimization (SEO), advertising optimization, readability and more.

Plus, we included our industry-best options panel and widgets, so that you can control all your theme settings and features with the click of a button, and quickly add widgets and post functionality without the need for extra plugins.”

Homepage Layout

There are quite a few noteworthy points to make about the Awake homepage, which begins with a traditional style top navigation and logo area that simplifies access to all pages within the CMS. The featured content slider offers a four-column bottom scroll design with the selected image shown at the top alongside an image, title, excerpt, and Continue Reading link.

The Main Feed can showcase multiple article categories and bring several feeds into one loop through the well designed layout that enhances stories and encourages bloggers to published a wide variety of content. Entries in this area contain a tiny thumbnail image, title, excerpt and click through link. There are also VIEW MORE buttons below each category that allows front-end users to go directly to the category of their choice.

MyThemeShop Features

Probably the most important feature that comes standard with all MyThemeShop templates is the responsive design. This ensures that mobile device and tablet computer users won’t have to thumb-scroll and pinch their way through your website’s pages, and also means you won’t have to bother with downloading and installing separate plugins in order to cater to a growing smart phone browser market.

MyThemeShop Features

The firm’s templates also come with full support plus a built-in SEO system that gives website owners ample opportunity to maximize search engine capabilities to gain traffic. The Awake theme is compatible with the new WordPress 3.5 “Elvin” along with modern web browsers such as Opera, Safari, Firefox, Chrome and Internet Explorer; so you won’t have to worry about how your site looks on different browser setups. Full documentation is also provided for all MyThemeShop products.

Shortcodes And Widgetized Regions

Regardless of whether you’re in need for a specialized content box that can alert readers or point them in the right direction, or have a cool video you want to embed, the Awake shortcodes collection gives webmasters all the right shortcuts to enhance content on the fly without having to go into the Editor and make changes.

Professional CSS buttons are just a few strokes away, plus you can insert Google Maps, varied columned text and much more by using the typography and other options while creating a page or post.

Another nice feature of Awake is that it is filled with widgetized regions. The fully functional sidebar has everything you need to run an ad campaign, display recent posts, share your content via social media, allow readers to perform detailed searches and more.

Awake Footer

There are three columns of slots available within the footer region that lets you get even more out of your custom widgets. You can place categories or any number of widgets in these areas by using the back-end Control Panel tab.
