jQuery Floating Menu WordPress Plugin

in Blog

The jQuery Floating Menu plugin from Design Chemical is a useful little script that floats a menu at the left or right hand side of your page.

The menu is controlled through the WordPress menu system. To add a floating menu you simply need to add the menu as a widget and determine where it is placed on the page. As it can be added via widgets, the plugin supports multiple floating menus.

4 different menu skins are included: Grey, Dark Grey, White and Black. You can also choose no skin (as seen below) so the text just floats across your current background.

An interesting way to add navigation to your website. It may not be to everyones taste but I’m sure some of you will like the fact additional menus can be added out with the main content area.

    Hi Kevin,

I actually checked this menu out but as far as I can tell it is only useable in the sidebar. I am actually looking for something like this that I can use in the page content area as a way to categorize all of the sites info on the homepage. An expandable menu that when it expands reveals links to the various sites content. Sort of like an expandable sitemap with a nicer GUI than most site maps that I can embed into the cnten area using a shortcode. Do you know of any plugins that would do this? Thanks!
