One of the world’s most respected WordPress template developers, Nick Roach, has opened the new year with a new product called Fusion that represents the 79th premium download from Elegant Themes. The yearly subscription service, which includes an all-inclusive package divided into Standard and Developer license plans, has attracted well over 160,000 members since its inception.
In his January 3rd blog post, Roach calls Fusion a “new and flashy theme,” and goes on to state that it “is a sleek and flashy theme that melds fun and professionalism into one awesome package. Great for startups, tech companies or design firms, this theme will impress your visitors with its cutting edge style. The theme also comes packaged with tons of great features, such as responsive design, custom background images and more!”
Fusion Is A Responsive Theme
If you’re wondering whether the latest offering from ET features a responsive design, then wonder no more: Fusion is 100% adapted to automatically transform the layout of your content in accordance to the screen size of each individual user. This makes browsing a site from the front-end while using a smart phone or tablet computer a comfortable experience that doesn’t require fancy thumb work to zoom in and out.
“The use of mobile devices is on the rise, and it is important for your website to be ready for those mobile visitors,” writes Roach. “Fusion comes fully responsive, meaning that the design will adapt to whatever screen size is being used to browse. You website will look great and will be a breeze to read on mobile phones and desktop computers alike. And let’s not forget about tablets! Fusion will also look great on your iPad or Android tablet in both portrait and landscape mode.”
The Fusion Homepage
The Fusion homepage is striking from the first moment you open up the official demo and notice that the content slider plus navigational area will take up the full screen of most monitors. The animated slides (which can be programmed to rotate at a speed you determine via the back-end Control Panel), will fade in and out with the option of manual entry selection through arrow icons located on either side of the featured posts.
The next section features a three column layout for your company or blog’s blurbs (complete with Read More links for going directly to the full information page), followed by a multiple slide contact area on the left and an independent blog/news feed on the right.
This format results in an extremely clean layout that gives programmers an enormous amount of flexibility for showcasing content categories that lends well to gaining readers’ interest.
If you would like to show off your client portfolio with subtlety, you can do so by displaying the corporate logos of your most prized customers right on the homepage. The next area is a three column widget-ready footer region that can be configured from the widget section of your Control Panel.
Fusion Custom Page Templates
Custom page templates have always been an integral part of Elegant Themes premium downloads, and Fusion is no different. This theme offers five unique portfolio page options along with dedicated pages for image galleries, a contact form, site map, log-in page, full-width and more.
Fusion also comes with a complete shortcodes collection that makes it easy to add emphasis to posts by creating alert boxes, map inserts, video posts, column-specific text, etc.
This new premium template by Elegant Themes is flexible and can be used for a wide variety of business/portfolio needs, or as a platform for a well-designed blog site. Ad Management can be achieved through a tab from the back-end, and you can easily adjust colors and background images through the WordPress Theme Customizer.
