Divi WordPress Theme Sneak Peek

in Blog

On Wednesday, Elegant Themes founder Nick Roach announced an upcoming theme that his company is marketing as its “most flexible ever.” Dubbed Divi, the premium release should be out some time in August and is a multi-purpose platform that can be used for a wide variety of WordPress websites; fulfilling everything from corporate needs to individual product launches.

In his July 24th blog post, Roach explained that is excited about giving his clients insight into the firm’s “upcoming multipurpose theme called Divi. With Divi, we hope to create our most powerful theme yet. Sporting a design that is both modern and elegant, and a user interface that is equally flexible and intuitive, Divi is the the all-in-one solution you have been waiting for.”

Still In Development

Divi Homepage

As is customary with upcoming launches, Roach suggested that Elegant Themes customers chime in and let him and his staff know what they would like to see in the company’s 87th premium WordPress theme. From what we can tell, the screenshots show a clean homepage layout that will allow potential clients to easily browse a site’s content while also providing webmasters with plenty of modules to enhance sales, peak interest, and show off what they have to offer.

Divi Responsive Design

One of the things that is a sure bet for the next theme is a 100% responsive layout. This means that those who download the Divi theme will not need to worry about uploading additional plugins in order to cater to the growing mobile device market. Website visitors use smart phones and tablet computers increasingly more, and the ability to automatically adjust content and format it to fit every screen size is a must for successful WordPress websites in today’s on-the-go environment.

Page Building Tools

If you’ve ever used the Elegant Themes Options Panel, you know that the administrative back-end is very easy to use and requires little to no webmastering experience in order to program from the get-go. This holds true with the upcoming Divi theme as well, plus there are even more modules available to make page design a simple and quick process without the need to worry about code.

Divi Page Builder

Manage your own advertisement campaign with ease while also selecting the exact layout that you want a particular page to have. The back-end also comes with full SEO optimization for getting the highest search engine rankings as possible, as well as unlimited color schemes that allow you to point and click for your favorite hexadecimal code.

Customer Feedback

So far, the blog post has received more than two dozen replies from current ET clients who are letting the founder know what they’d like to see in Divi. One user who goes by the name of Ken said, “What’s really missing from all the themes is something that recognizes that many blogs are commercial enterprises with specific conversion goals on the home page. If we’re selling a product, you’ve got some themes that work but if your conversion is to an email list, for example, there is nothing that does the job in any ET theme I’ve seen. What I did to get a home page feature box was to convert the Featured Slider to show content from Featured pages rather than the image. It was a simple change – contact me if you want the code. Doing something like that, replacing the Featured image with Featured content, which might be an image, a sign-up form, bonus offer, or whatever HTML content we decide to put there would be ideal.”

Elegant Themes offers three unique subscription packages for its customers beginning at $39 per year with full access to all premium themes.
