Big Shot – A Featured Packed Business WordPress Theme

in Blog

PressCoders released a new design today entitled Big Shot. With the large featured slider on the home page, the Big Shot is clearly being marketed towards business owners, however I believe it would be perfect for a blog too.

It comes with a number of different layouts including full width and 1 or 2 sidebars. There are 16 pre-designed content templates to help you design landing pages and featured pages easily. Sliders can be added to any area of the site easily via widgets.

5 colour schemes are included with the design (Blue, Crimson, White, Dark & Green) and you can change the colours of text and links through the admin panel.

The theme comes with it’s own unique options area. You can upload your logo here, set your site structure and add custom CSS too. Above the footer is a ‘Call Out Bar’ to help you direct traffic to a certain page or post. This can be modified in the options area.

Code can be inserted directly into the header and footer in the options area and you can change the meta tags for your home page as well.

Big Shot also boasts social media integration, in built testimonials, header info box and 8 unique widgets. A license for Big Shot will set you back $79, with customers getting unlimited forum support and access to HD video tutorials. If you are looking for a versatile WordPress design for a corporate website or blog, I recommend checking Big Shot out.

Yeah I agree the theme could definitely look good as a blog. Iv been looking for some good business themes that are not too corporate if you know what I mean, but still posses the ability to create custom landing pages as well as customising the sidebar considerably.

Well, in the last few years so many things have changed and been simplified. I personally think change is good, but if you like your layout/theme, WHY change it.

Yeah corporate themes are frequently dark/blue. The design comes with a white design too.

There are lots of great designs out there – free and premium. Is there something specific you’re looking for?

That WOULD be perfect for a blog… I like how clean the design is. Do you find blue to be too much of a business color and not a personal one? Also, how often would you recommend major blog facelifts? I’ve had my blog for almost a couple years and only made minor modifications… I am wondering when I should upgrade…

The official directory is a good place to start. Many premium theme stores release good themes for free too.
