Theme Furnace Achieves 10 Template Releases

Premium WordPress template company ThemeFurnace.com recently reached a major achievement mark in its short career – the commercial release of its 10th theme. Known simply as “Pressco,” the product has already become one of the most popular downloads on the site despite only being available to the public for a few weeks.

“Pressco is a very clean and tidy portfolio style theme for businesses or freelancers to show off their work,” the official product page states. “The theme has a nice minimal style with a portfolio section for your work and a normal blog section along with custom page templates. It has multiple sidebars and widgetized areas so you can customize it for your content and also makes use of WordPress’ built-in background upload facility.”

Indeed, when we take a closer look at the new Pressco theme by visiting its official demo page, we see a top navigation area that uses the traditional drop-down menus for sub categories along with a content slider that utilizes its wide view port to successfully display high resolution content. The “Features” area is actually located immediately below the slider; complete with icons and click-through ability.

The Recent Projects section is divided into four columns and includes large thumbnail images, title and category. When a client clicks on the image itself, he/she is taken to a separate page where the full information is published.

Responsive Design

Pressco Responsive Design

Furnace Themes markets Pressco as a product that is “responsive to browser sizes which means it will adapt if you view it on a mobile phone or tablet display – to simulate this, try resizing the browser window and you will see the layout change. The homepage has a slider which also adapts to your screensize and when viewed on a mobile device can be controlled with swipe gestures.

Another feature of the homepage is a featured widget area so you can drag widgets onto it and choose an icon to go with it to highlight products or services.”

Theme Options Panel

Generally speaking, premium downloads released by Theme Furnace boast an extensive Theme Options Panel that is simple to use and allows for broad customization of your theme’s settings. Through configuration of the font size, line height, and letter spacing, you can choose how many portfolio items to display on the front page with just a few clicks of your mouse; without ever having to touch any code.
