Basic Maths is released under the GNU GPL, which means that while the author charges for it, there are no restrictions on redistribution. In other words, you can (and should) safely put it back in the list.

Yeah but this is a list of free themes not GPL themes.
GPL doesn’t mean you can just give away a premium theme for free to others.

Actually, it does mean you can give it away if said premium theme is licensed under the GNU GPL. That said, it is your choice whether or not you would like to redistribute it. You could even charge a fee yourself, if you were so inclined. The GPL is very permissive with respect to redistribution.

I’m still not 100% sure on this.
There is a discussion about this in my Chris Pearson VS Matt Mullenweg article. I always thought that code was covered by the GPL but styling (css/images etc) was not.

Thanks, currently I use WPsimpy theme ( http://www.smartin.in/fast-loading-wordpress-theme-wpsimpy/ ) which is also a minimalist WordPress theme.

Another great minimalist theme for the list is Space. It does a good job of removing both unnecessary design elements and WordPress features, leaving users with clear and easy to read comment.
