Divi By Elegant Themes Receives Update

By now, many of you have already heard of Elegant Theme’s most recent premium download, Divi. The theme has received quite a bit of attention by the ET staff over the past few weeks since its release and recently passed an intense security audit with flying colors.

If you haven’t had a chance to check out the latest theme by Elegant Themes, Divi features a unique module dubbed the Divi Builder which allows WordPress website users to create unique layouts in a very short period of time without ever touching a single line of code. By implementing a “building blocks” style of website building, the new options allow inexperienced WordPress users more leeway than ever when it comes to designing a website to their liking.

There are modules that can be chosen from that include images, text, blurbs, promo tiles, sliders, pricing tables, testimonials and much more; all of which can be accessed with a click of the mouse or tap of a mobile device.

Divi Earns Successful Security Aduit

According to ET founder Nick Roach back in January, the newest version of Divi (Version 1.3) was somewhat of a post-operation developer fix for issues that arose after the premium theme’s official release. At the time, Roach stated, “After the initial release of Divi, our main goal has been to monitor the support forums and address any bugs that pop up. Despite our own internal beta testing, there will always be unexpected issues when a theme is released into the wild. Not only do we want Divi to be our most beautiful and robust theme, we also want it to be our most solid and stable theme. In version 1.3, we have fixed a long list of bugs, and even added a few new features as well.”

Some of the bugs that were addressed at the time were color scheme options not saving into the customizer, text orientation in the blurb module, bottom to top animation, page styling for products, and pagination styling.

With that major update in place, the next step was to submit Divi to an intense security check performed by Sucuri. In a February 21st blog entry, Nick Roach wrote, “When developing our themes, we take Security very seriously. Even though we have complete confidence in our team to produce rock-solid themes, we often have our products audited by third party security professional to ensure that nothing slips through the cracks. Recently, we hired Sucuri to do a full code audit and vulnerability assessment of our flagship theme, Divi. Over the past two weeks, Sucuri has been studying and scrutinizing every single line of code in the theme. In the end, not a single significant problem was found.

According to the Sucuri team, “It is the opinion of the review team that this theme was developed extremely well and as such, the Divi Theme is deserving of the Safe Theme seal. No significant issues were identified during the vulnerability assessment. No issues were identified in the code audit.”

Elegant Themes Plans

This is indeed good news for those who have come to rely on Elegant Themes’ products to make their WordPress websites both attractive and practical to manage. Due to the business model that Roach and other WordPress theme developers have been instrumental in creating, customers can enjoy well over 80 premium themes for a low subscription price of $39 per year. A Developer’s License to all the themes, which includes layered Photoshop files as well to complete access to all plugins offered by the company, can be obtained for $89 per year. There is also a one time fee option that grants customers full access to every single Elegant Themes product for $249. With this option, there are no recurring yearly fees.
